Class N Ethernet in Fire Alarm Systems

NFPA 72 has established parameters for Ethernet connections, called Class N. In this webinar, you’ll learn how (and why) the fire code allows for Ethernet systems. You’ll learn how IP networking is different from an SLC circuit in a fire alarm system, and why Ethernet is a useful way to network devices. You’ll learn how to connect alarms and devices in conformance with Class N specifications, and how to use software as an alarm management tool. You’ll even learn how you can use Ethernet technology to monitor alarm systems on laptops and personal computers, not only on site but also remotely, at home and on vacation.
