This webinar will focus on the design of fire alarm systems for low rise R-1 and R-2 occupancies- hotels, apartments, condominiums.  The session will include an overview of applicable requirements from the IBC/IFC.  The design criteria for fire alarm system elements such as manual pull stations, smoke and CO detection and occupant notification will be covered.  Special attention will be paid to the layout of fire alarm systems in various types of units including apartments and hotel rooms, low frequency sounders, and common area corridors. The webinar will wrap up with specific examples of design using typical floor plans for each occupancy type.
