This is a very information presentation of the evolution of code requirements for ERRCES. This presentation defines the reasons for Emergency Responder Radio Signal impairment inside buildings, code required methods and definitions of measuring those signals and code definition of the required solution for those impairments. The presentation will discuss difference in State and Local requirements across the US. UL 2524 will also be discussed as part of the presentation and the System requirements that includes to make these systems robust, safe, reliable and not cause issues with a Public Safety Radio Network it is connected to.

In that Role David’s primary focus is driving BDA business across the US. David Thompson joined Honeywell Security & Fire in January 2016 as the North Central Business Development Manager. As the North Central BDM, David supported the Gamewell-FCI and Silent Knight-Farenhyt businesses in Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Ohio and West Virginia. David has worked in the fire alarm industry for over 21 years and is NICET Level IV certified in fire alarm and NICET Level II certified in special hazards. David also is on the NFPA 1221 committee for Public Emergency Service Communication.
