This presentation will provide an overview of the technologies available to provide enhanced in-building emergency personnel communications that are now required by model building and fire codes. This will include an overview of model IFC and NFPA 1 Fire Code design, installation, testing and performance requirements for these systems.
The attendees will also receive an overview on the new UL 2524 Standard that is now available and will be a requirement in the 2021 model codes to certify the operational performance and overall reliability of the various types of equipment installed in the built environment to meet the model fire code requirements. In addition, the presentation will provide details on the transition of UL Listings to the new UL 2524 and how to search on-line to find UL Listings for products meeting the new standard.
